Four beers, four brewers, for science.
ExBEERimental Science is a beer tasting event sampling the science behind brewing and beer. This National Science Week, four Australian independent breweries have been challenged to don a lab coat and craft an experimental beer. Don’t expect your average brews, these beers will be subjected to some type of experimental conditions or ingredients to create novel and exciting results. The four unique creations will be explored in depth during ‘ExBEERimental Science’, a live-streamed beer tasting event sampling the science behind brewing and beer.
The event, sponsored by Hop Products Australia and Voyager Malt, will be held at Shambles Brewery on Friday 19 August and live-streamed out across Australia. You can order your ExBEERimental Science 4-pack to drink along at home, as we delve into how these beers are made, what sets them apart, and how science is integral to every step of the process to deliver the final product.
This event is organised by Science Made Beerable, the brainchild of scientists Kelsey Picard and Matthew Fielding. Check out their website or Facebook page where they will post updates on how to join for the live tasting event to chat about the science behind the brews.
Breweries include Black Arts Brewers and Blenders (VIC), Shapeshifter Brewing Co (SA), Mountain Culture Beer Co (NSW) and Shambles Brewery (TAS)
This is a ticket to attend the live event at Shambles Brewery on Friday 19th August. Ticket price includes the “exBEERimental 4-pack” + free Science Made Beerable beer glass (both supplied at the venue on the night).
Tickets are very limited so get in quick.
Live-audience attendance is dependent on Tasmanian State COVID-19 restrictions. If restrictions mean we can no longer hold an in-person event, we will arrange to send the 4-pack to your home for you to watch the live-stream.
