Longview Vineyard is a renowned family-owned vineyard in the Adelaide Hills near Macclesfield. Since its establishment in 2001, Longview has become one of Australia’s most awarded vineyards, known for its commitment to quality and innovation in winemaking.

Vintage Notes

The 2023 vintage was very cool with intermittent rainfall, extending the ripening period and enabling excellent fruit flavour development without high sugars. The Longview team ensured good airflow and bunch positioning for even ripening. Despite lower yields, the vintage produced exceptionally balanced fruit, promising magnificent ageing potential.

Vineyard & Winemaking Notes

The Juno Nebbiolo Rosé 2023 predominantly features the famed 1-11 clone of Nebbiolo, with a high-quality parcel of Pinot Nero added for additional perfume and acidity. The 25-year-old Nebbiolo and Pinot Nero vines are cane pruned, shoot thinned, and bunch thinned twice to ensure low yields and even ripening. The fruit was handpicked, chilled, crushed, and de-stemmed, with free run juice separated and fermented for a light rosé style.

Flavour Profile

This rosé presents fresh raspberry, redcurrant, and floral notes with a kiss of aniseed. The palate is crisp and dry, featuring cranberry crunch, blood orange, and a fine chalky grip. The finish is bright and lengthy, with a pleasing pinchiness that adds to the wine’s refreshing character.
